Sacred Cow Stewardship & Community Milk Program

He pilina me ka ʻāina, nā holoholona, a me ke kaiāulu

(A connection with the land, the animals, and the community)

Program Vision

The Aina Arts Society Sacred Cow Stewardship Program is a nature-based educational and community service initiative designed to cultivate deeper relationships between humans, animals, land, and one another through daily care, presence, and stewardship of dairy cows.

This program honors the sacredness of the cow as a gentle teacher of nourishment, rhythm, patience, and connection. Participants are invited to engage in mindful animal care practices, daily milking routines, land stewardship, and community sharing in a peaceful and healing environment rooted in aloha ʻāina — love and respect for the land.

The intention of this program is to:

• Encourage nervous system regulation through calm connection with animals and nature

• Foster responsibility, teamwork, and consistency

• Support community nourishment and reciprocity

• Preserve traditional and respectful relationships with land and animals

• Offer opportunities for learning, grounding, and meaningful service
